Residency

The Post Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) Residency Program at Greenwood Pharmacy is affiliated with the University of Iowa. The University of Iowa program, established in 1997, is the longest running ASHP/APhA accredited residency program in the nation. Upon completion of the program, a pharmacist will have the skills, experience, and confidence to lead an enhanced services pharmacy practice. The resident will sharpen their patient care and pharmacotherapy skills while providing Chronic Care Management, Immunizations, Medication Therapy Management, Injectable Medications, Transitional Care Management, Enhanced Medication Safety Evaluation, Practice Management, and Community Outreach Opportunities.

Meet our Resident

Shelby Reid, PharmD

Shelby is originally from Aledo, Illinois. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy in Iowa City, Iowa. Shelby pursued a PGY1 Community-based Residency program through the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy, specifically Greenwood Pharmacy, because of her love for serving the community and the never-ending advancement of the pharmacy profession. Shelby’s professional interests include chronic disease state management, behavioral health, and ambulatory care pharmacy. She is excited to serve the Waterloo community with Greenwood Pharmacy’s innovative clinic services. Shelby enjoys going on walks with her dog, Potter, reading, and spending time with her family. She is looking forward to growing personally and professionally during her residency.
